Following is an assortment of links with regard to genealogy sites, programs, services, etc that may be of use to you.

• www.familysearch.org  - this site is owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church), and they have one of the largest collections of family history in the world, and its free.

• www.genealogy.ca or www.genealogy.com - this site is owned by Genealogy.com and requires a paid membership, either yearly or monthly, to access genealogy information. There are various plans available, depending on whether you want only Canadian records, or only American records or the World Deluxe, which gives access to national and international records.

• Scotland - www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk - this is a pay for view site and has Scottish records going back to the 1500's, such as birth, christening, death, marriage and census records.

• World War I Veterans - http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/genealogy/022-909.006-e.html - this site is part of the Canadian Genealogy Centre, Library and Archives, Canada.  You can search for any veteran who signed up for service in the Canadian Expeditionary Forces overseas during World War I

• Marriage registrations for Ontario http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~maryc/thisisit.htm - searchable free site

• Wesleyan Baptismal Register http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~maryc/thisisit.htm - this site is a transcription of the Wesleyan Methodist Baptismal Register and is fully searchable.

• http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/western-land-grants/001007-100.01-e.php - Western Canada Land Grants from 1870 to 1930.  This is a fully searchable database of the land patents issued by the Department of the Interior in western Canada.

•  http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/ - this is the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid.  It has a fully searchable database of many cemeteries in Ontario.

• Manitoba Vital Statistics - http://vitalstats.gov.mb.ca/Query.php - this is a searchable site for births, deaths and marriages in Manitoba.  You can also order copies of certificates.

• Saskatchewan Vital Statistics - http://www.isc.ca/VitalStatistics/Genealogy/vsgs_srch.aspx This is a searchable site for some births and deaths, but is very limited in scope.

• Bill Martin - http://my.tbaytel.net/bmartin/sitemap.htm A site with a ton of links to all sorts of genealogy sites

• Newfoundland/Labrador - http://ngb.chebucto.org/ - a wide variety of genealogy links for the province.

• Ireland - http://www.rootsireland.ie/ - site claims to have over 17 million records on site. Requires a membership (free) to search.  Will bring up possible results but there are charges. about $8.50) to view the full details.

• Canadian Genealogy Centre - http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/genealogy/index-e.html - general information on searching for Canadian ancestors, census data, births, marriages, deaths, etc. and free access to many databases.

• Canadian Census - Automated Genealogy - http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/census/index.html You can view census returns for free for the years1851, 1852, 1901, 1906, 1911.  All census data was transcribed by volunteers.

• England - FreeBMD(birth, marriage, deaths) database - http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

• England - FreeBMD advanced - http://www.freebmd.org.uk/advanced-facilities.html  This site contains Advanced Facilities for FreeBMD users but may not be of interest to all users
